ClientPeople Know How

Visual identity, illustrations, website design and development, promotional materials, presentations, motion graphics, publications, social media graphics and campaigns for Reconnect, a service provided by charity People Know How supporting adults to improve digital inclusion and wellbeing.

Reconnect’s visual identity is based on a soft colour palette and illustrated figures offering support in different visual motifs, showing both digital and human connection, demonstrating the belief of the service that digital and social inclusion are linked.

Reconnect includes a national Digital Support Helpline, run in partnership with the Scottish Government and SCVO. Working within the brand I had developed, I created new assets and a campaign to promote this nationally, dedicating one week to focus on each of Scotland’s 32 local authorities, tailoring assets and key messages to each; from social media graphics to printed promotional materials to a billboard at the Hibernian FC Stadium.

In 2020, I created the campaign Connectivity Now for People Know How, a national campaign to combat data poverty. Work included a visual identity (derived from Reconnect), web and UX design and development, editorial design and report writing. The campaign aims to lobby the Scottish government to implement 3 actions outlined in its manifesto to end data poverty across Scotland. See the full report publication.

In 2024 People Know How began a partnership with BT, which I led and coordinated. The project facilitated 50 events in rural communities across Scotland to provide people with the information they need to prepare for the PSTN switch-over to digital landlines. Leading on this, I established connections with organisations across the country and created communications includng press releases, custom assets and social media graphics, promotional materials and web design and development.
